Good Evening Patriots! Coffeewithcomment here, and welcome to the first part of this week's Bi-weekly Bullshit. Today is July 12, 2017 There's a few big stories to cover today, but as I'm trying to keep things a little shorter, you can see the source for the story I cut today in the BONUS BULLSHIT link at the bottom of the links section in the description. Anyway, let's get into today's topics Comey Memos Donald Jr.'s Emails Phone electrocution Net Neutrality Comey Memos I just want to touch on this briefly, since I already talked about this in more detail yesterday. You can click on the card in the upper right for that video. So, the quick and dirty rundown is this: An article from The Hill came out reporting on Former FBI director James Comey's Memos - what he calls "written recollections". According to anonymous sources, 4 of the 7 memos are considered classified or secret. As you can imagine, this revelation opens Comey to all sorts of problems. One I mentioned was the fact that whether Comey considered these "personal documents" or not, the FBI considers them FBI property. If Comey did in fact leak this classified information to his buddy so it would make its way to the propaganda media; there's a couple of points to be made. First, this is clear evidence of a Deep State apparatus for leaking classified information to the public- presumably in an attempt to damage Trump. I don't really believe it happens this same way all the time, but hey, there's now a clear precedent of leaking to the New York Times, which as you know, is largely fake news. The Second point is that if Comey is indeed guilty of removing classified information from government storage or property, one can see the case he laid against Hillary Clinton in terms of lacking "intent" was an attempt to cover his own ass when it comes to this stuff. Look, you've got a guy who writes down notes of his conversations with the President of the United States and passes them off- you think this is the only time he's completely snubbed FBI policy and federal statutes on classified material? He knew what he was doing. He said multiple times in testimonies with congress that conversations with the President are classified and shouldn't be discussed in an open setting. Tell me how it's suddenly different to have that content published? Anyway, if Comey goes down, there will be investigations regarding Hillary, since we can then view Comey's recommendation as moot. Don Jr's emails. [[Star wars clip - Obi Wan 'move along']] This is literally nothing. The only thing to note is that Donald Junior released the emails and the media is freaking out. The point stands there's still no collusion, this doesn't tie to Trump, and if it did or does, it still doesn't matter. Phone electrocution It's been awhile since we've had some REAL STUPID SHIT in the news... oh wait. Anyway, some dumb bitch died in the bathtub, having been electrocuted when either grabbing for her plugged in phone, or trying to plug it in. Why is it that some people are SO OBSESSED over their phones? Sure, I take mine to the bathroom to take a dump... just like anyone else. But who's trying to snap chat in the shower? You know, why is it people will walk into traffic while staring at their phones. You know, I suppose this goes back to survival of the fittest. -clip- Weeding out the low-IQ in the population- those that can't delay gratification for 15 minutes to take a bath. Net Neutrality I was going to start this off by saying that Trump's Presidency would not have been possible without the Internet, but I think that's actually wrong. Hillary would have probably croaked on the campaign trail. Trump would still have been everywhere. But Trump notwithstanding, there are still many things possible today that are thanks to the collaboration and information available on the internet. Twitch Plays Pokémon, Cats, Viral Videos, Drunken Amazon purchases, Memes, Free Speech online... [[YouTube video removed]] oh wait... Free speech online [[banned subreddit pizzagate]]...dammit; one more time - FREE SPEECH ONLINE [[Germany to fine Facebook for hate speech]]. Well shit. It's already happening, patriots. But this latest assault on Net Neutrality seeks to revoke the protections we fought for in February 2015 regarding the classification of Broadband service under the FCC's Title II; which allows broadband to be regulated the same way phone service is. In short, it means a service provider cannot discriminate on the transfer of data between connections for any reason. Just like a phone company can't stop you from calling someone or shut of your conversation based on content, it keeps the Internet service provider (ISP) from stopping your connection to say, reddit or Netflix. Additionally, without Title II protection, ISPs can limit the speed of traffic to such websites as well, or provide extra speed and connectivity to other sites, and charge you extra for that speed. There's an argument to be made for the ISPs, which I touched on in my response to Tim Berners Lee several months ago. ISPs did, after all, build the infrastructure that allows them to provide internet service. But you'll see that these companies tend to be slow to expand to rural areas- even with the exorbitant costs some people pay for a puny 10 mega baud upload/download connection. You're looking at 50-80 dollars a month for this basic slow connection. That argument is really moot- after all, it would be completely retarded to think these services were built out of some kind of benevolence for human society and they're just swimming in debt by providing this service. That's bullshit- they're building TWO skyscrapers here in Philadelphia. That's not something a struggling company does. Obviously there's profit to be made by building and expanding a service people demand. However, these potential changes to Internet access are not meant to expand that access- they instead ultimately limit that access by potentially adding a price barrier to the best content. And since ISPs would have to know what website you are connecting to in order to determine what speed you should have for that site or service, they would be able to sell data regarding your patterns on the Internet. It's one giant shekel grab at our expense. Just what we need, right? I see Internet connectivity as an unalienable right, since it falls under access to education. You could conceivably learn and study enough material online to be a doctor-level expert in almost any subject or career. I have full confidence that Ben Franklin, should he have had Internet access, would have been one of the greatest memelord shitposters of all time; and would likely have far outpaced what he was able to learn through only books. When you think about the wealth of information and free access as it currently stands, you want to protect it. The Internet is our modern equivalent of the Library of Alexandria; and it must be defended at all costs. There is a link below that will take you to a "call to action" page "Battleforthenet.com" which will allow you to email and call your congressmen to tell them how you feel on this issue. Please do take the time to contact your representatives! They will act of their own accord... just take a look at this list of 2016 candidates at the federal level that received campaign contributions from Comcast.
